Officer B.M. Magyar reached through the window of Tiara White’s car during a predawn traffic encounter in Jacksonville, then forcefully pulled the Black woman from the driver’s seat as cellphone clips captured screams, confusion, and violent movement beside the roadway.

White had been pulled over around 3:20 a.m. for allegedly driving without taillights, according to Atlanta Black Star. Clips later spread across social media showing the confrontation escalating within seconds after she partially lowered her window instead of opening the door completely.

Arms suddenly lunged through the opening before White was dragged onto the pavement beside the car. During the struggle, footage shared across digital platforms appeared to show B.M. Magyar driving a knee into her face while shouting commands near the driver’s side door.

Posts tied to the confrontation moved rapidly across Facebook before later disappearing from public view. Hundreds of comments reportedly gathered beneath the original upload supporting White and condemning the deputy’s conduct after people replayed the scene frame by frame.

Police paperwork tied to the encounter reportedly did not indicate that Magyar expressed immediate concern for his safety before pulling White from the car. Records also stated the windows were not tinted heavily enough to block visibility into the interior during the interaction.

Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office has not publicly detailed whether an internal review or disciplinary inquiry has been opened following the confrontation.

Across the city, anger surrounding the footage quickly expanded beyond the physical altercation itself. Much of the response centered on how rapidly an alleged equipment violation escalated into physical aggression involving a Black driver during a routine police interaction.

Supreme Court rulings give law enforcement authority to order drivers out of automobiles during traffic encounters for safety reasons. Critics following the Jacksonville footage questioned whether the level of aggression shown in the recording matched the circumstances outlined inside the report connected to the interaction.

Images allegedly showing injuries to White appeared alongside the original Facebook upload before the footage disappeared from digital platforms. Authorities have not publicly released medical documentation tied to those injuries or clarified whether White received treatment after the altercation.

Anger continued building as people replayed the recording searching for justification behind the deputy’s conduct. What began along a dark Jacksonville roadway as a routine equipment violation had now hardened into another public collision involving policing, race, and trust beneath emergency lights cutting through the early morning darkness.

There seems to be a major problem with Jacksonville Sheriff's Dept. This will be the third deputy within a two year period caught violently abusing a Black person. Interesting enough the Sheriff is Black but it is his white officers who are harassing and violently interacting with Black people.

These cops need to be reeled in. Her windows weren't tinted, so there was no need for him to have her step out due to her window not being all the way down. Cops being able to use the "I feared for my life" excuse when they're clearly the aggressor is getting old.
